We certainly do not need to offer up a math lesson, our lights use 90 Degree Angles. This certainly shorten's the overall coverage of lights that are 120 Degree, which most off the shelf lights come this way.  We would say neither are bad, we have sold many of all.  90 Degree, as math tells us, is a tighter, in this case, light delivery, even more downward to effect plants with as much light intensity as possible. As a compliment, we have designed our lights with Super Large Fans, ensuring heat is not the issue that needs to be concerned with.

IR is not a visible spectrum to our eyes, but plants take full advantage.  Your LEDs are not broken. If a power unit was to ever go out, you would lose a line or two. This is due to our ARRAY of Power units, you will NEVER lose more than a line or two, just needing an easy clip in and clip out replacement.
